REVIEWSPokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapph Review
In some way, Pokémon and the relationships they form with their trainers wind up teaching the player something completely different than what you might suspect.
So I promised that list and here it is. It's late and it's not as thorough as I'd hoped. I also wish I had images handy to illustrate every point where helpful. So, in no particular order - a subjective set of desired features for Fallout 4:
It's the most wonderful time of the year—GameRevolution's Holiday Gift Guide time! This year, we've got great gift suggestions for the gamer and tech enthusiast in your life, no matter what console they're into, and at every price range.
In this list, you'll find everything an Xbox gamer could want, need, or hope for.
(Buy Now) – Microsoft’s next-generation hardware has had a long and arduous path to launch, but it seems like the console is going to splashdown in a big way with plenty of exclusive software to back it up. At launch, gamers can play new entries in classic favorite franchises like Killer Instinct and Forza Motorsport 5, but know that things might not go smoothly for early adopters.
While Xbox One easily earns this coveted spot on GameRevolution’s gift guide, you might be buying more of a promise than a console at launch. This is true of both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but with Xbox One we can already see a delicious future ahead, full of Titanfall and Halo. No one is gonna be disappointed by opening up Microsoft’s new console on Festivus morning.
Dead Rising 3
(Buy Now) – The third entry in Capcom’s zombie slaughter series addresses almost all of the horrible things about surviving the zombie apocalypse like a terrible save system and a needless timer counting down how long you could explore the zombified world, and adds even more vehicles, hand-made weapons, and a new hero Nick Ramos.
The developers have said that they can put three times as many zombies on screen as they could in previous games, so if you’ve got a Walking Dead fan or someone who likes wandering around and moaning in Zombie makeup for the weekends, you know exactly which game to get them with their new Xbox One console.
Forza Motorsport 5
(Buy Now)– Microsoft has always catered to racing fans with their graphically intense hardware and Forza 5 is no exception, arriving day and date with Xbox One hardware. Real-world cars are beautifully realized and simulation fans will appreciate how every car handles as it should.
Of course, the point of Forza is to give players an unbelievable ride in priceless cars. Look no further than the McLarens heavily promoted in Forza Motorsport 5. Those speed machines go for over 0,000. Trust me when we say that an Xbox One and a copy of Forza is a much cheaper gift to give.
Xbox LIVE 3 & 12-Month Subscription Cards
(Buy Now)– You can’t play online on Xbox without a LIVE subscription. In 3-month and 12-month varieties, you can be sure the gamer in your life gets everything out of Call of Duty: Ghosts this holiday season or all year round.
Microsoft also recently added two free games per month for Xbox Live subscribers. Hits like Assassin’s Creed II and Halo 3 have already gone free for subscribers, so lock in a year-long membership and give the gift that keeps on giving.
Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle
(Buy Now) – Microsoft have always been generous with the software included in their holiday bundles and this year’s is no different. If you haven’t had a chance to try Kinect and know your gamer has only played on PlayStation, take the 2013 holidays as a chance to rectify this whole in your lives.
The 250GB Holiday Bundle combines the latest Xbox 360 model with a Kinect and two games: Tomb Raider and Halo 4. Don’t forget to pick up an 360 exclusive you might have missed over the past few years like any title from the Gears of War franchise. Of course, the online game with the biggest multiplayer community is obviously our next item for those on the nice list.
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Call of Duty: Ghosts(Buy Now)– No other game can claim to define this generation of consoles like Call of Duty and Ghosts is the latest entry in the franchise. The focus in Ghosts is an explosive blockbuster campaign and white-knuckle competitive multiplayer.
Make sure you grab and Xbox LIVE subscription card if you decided to give the gift of Ghosts. Your gamer will want to get online and enjoy the full competitive multiplayer suite in addition to Call of Duty’s four-player cooperative humans-versus-aliens Extinction mode.
