Finally Broke My Crowdfunding Rule
By oblivion437
Posted on 01/12/15
I've had a long-standing rule to avoid getting involved in any sort of crowdfunded activities.  I didn't donate to Shadowrun or Wasteland, but I did buy and enjoy both of them (I'm plugging both of those games right now, just so you know they're good).  I haven't...

I Want A Vanquish Action Figure

Posted on Wednesday, February 1 @ 13:16:27 Eastern by

Hey! Have you ever played Vanquish? No? God, go do that. I don't want to have to tell you a second time. Japanese Gears of War Mech Suit on Crack. That is Vanquish....

Whenever I play with action figures, I'm already making them act that way, so a Vanquish figure is a no-brainer. These unpainted prototypes are still getting tweaked, according to Vanquish's developer, Platinum Games.

The Square Enix Play Arts Kai line is creating the figures, including lead Sam and Zaitsev in Bogey mode. Designer Kenji Iris said:

They have captured every little detail in the ARS Suit. They even brought to life many of the little details on the inner suit as well. [Zaitsev] still needs that final level of fine detail, but the proportions are very close to what is actually represented in the game, and when you pick it up you get this awesome feeling of the heft to the toy. It's great.

Once I've got these in my hands, all I'll need is a transforming game and my fandom will be complete.
