DAILY MANIFESTOiPhone Becomes the Best Handheld EverPosted on Thursday, October 21 @ 20:03:08 Eastern by Daniel Bischoff
That might be quite a big reach taken out of context, but arguably, this iPhone started looking a lot more like one of my fondest childhood gaming memories. Story time! The Game Boy Color was release in America in November of 1998. I was 10, my brother was 6. He'd already lost his Game Boy Pocket in a rental car on our way to the air port. With Pokemon coming out right around the same time, it was time to rectify our lack of multiplayer capabilities.Christmas morning comes and he and I are lined up on Grandma and Grandpa's couch. Gifts of similar size and weight were plopped on our laps. Opening them in unison, we both hollared in delight. I got the solid purple Game Boy Color. He got the "Atomic" purple unit. So easy to tell them apart. I had gotten Pokemon Red at launch, so he found a copy of Pokemon Blue with his name on it somewhere. Immediately, we traded the three starter Pokemon back and forth. Needless to say, I would LOVE to canvas my iPhone with this cover, but I have an original iPhone, not and iPhone 4. If you're interested in the iPhone 4 skin you see above, you can buy one for $6 from Etsy. Check out the link below. How do you establish your nerd cred? Mine needs a shot in the arm. [Etsy] Comments
