E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

E.T. for the 2600. It was so terrible Godel mathematically proved 'no worse game is possible' a full 20 years before the game was even made.

Haze. Now, I'm all about the PS3. I don't play xbox, but Haze was the most disappointing thing to ever happen in my life. The supposed "Halo Killer" as it was touted to be had so many including myself so hyped for this game. It is the only game this gen I have not completed simply because of how bad it was.

Continued from above... Lackluster sub HD picture was laughable at best and did nothing to showcase the ps3s power. The gameplay felt bulky and the depth of realism just wasn't there. The weapons weren't anything special and the story lacked anything even remotely comparable to the highly acclaimed Halo universe as Haze was supposed to counter.

Maybe this is cheating... but unlike most people I've actually played the following game.

Survivor for the PC. Came out around... 2001. Actually, I'll just link the review here.

I found it in a bargin bin for 99 cents about 5 years ago, and I bought it BECAUSE of that review. It is the most hilariously terrible game in the world. It's also the only game on Game Rev to ever get an F-. No other F has been so bad as to be given the Minus.

Well for me the worst thing is when a game gets hyped up so much and then doesn't live up to it. So with that in mind I'm going to have to say that Angry Birds is the worst game I've ever played. I heard (and continue to hear) so much praise for it as being the best mobile game ever, and then with all the talk of mobile platforms taking over the gaming world my expectations were pretty high. And then I played it.... I'm a pretty patient person but I didn't make it for more than 20 minutes before promptly deleting the game. I've never felt more let down by the internet masses that kept suggesting the game.

EASILY South Park for N64. Every wave had exactly one type of enemy (the first of which being angry turkeys). So ridiculously simple I could probably read a book and juggle while playing it. BLATANT CASH IN!!! Also, the ONLY game in 39 years of life I've felt compelled to return immediately for a full refund.

When I was 10 years old (approximately) I had a paper route. I saved my money for three months to buy Hey You Pikachu! for the N64. I spent nearly $80 on it, brand new from Walmart. "Played" it for a few hours, then promptly made a fuss to the customer service people at the store until they finally decided to give my money back.
I've played some bad games in my day, including Superman 64, E.T., and Pac-Man for the Atari. Aside from those ones, Hey You Pikachu! is my pick for "worst game of all time." It had a non-responsive microphone and controls, and completely lacked any actual gameplay. It was an interesting idea that ended up just flat out sucking.

Myst. I tried to play it in high school for about and hour and couldn't figure out the point of the game so said to hell with it. 7 years later in college I checked out the FAQ for the game and realized that no matter how much time I would have spent with that game I just would not get it. The worse most pointless game imo. Kind of like a where's waldo with waldo having active camo and the ability to change into anything while you are still looking for him.

Ooh! It was the Die Hard Triolgy on the PS1... I thought it was cool at the time, but its funny how one discovers they're wrong with a little hindsight. Either that, or the Smurf game for Atari2600.

Worst game I've ever played? Fairytale Fights. Bar-none... no questions... just god-awful garbage.

I do have to be that weird guy and stick up a little for Pac-Man on the 2600. Sure it looked like ass, sounded worse and went unsold for a reason, but it wasn't a TERRIBLE game. It still had some aspects of the arcade Pac-Man, and played moderately alright. And yes, I do own it and have played it. Had some fun with it too. :-)

Kevin, Pac-Man for the 2600 didn't go unsold. In fact, it sold 7 MILLION COPIES.

@Longo: One man's trash is another man's treasure...enjoy Myst. They had to have made a second one for a reason, I just don't know why. What are there like 5 versions of Myst now? I blame L. Ron Hubbard
