[ON NOW] Join GameRevolution's Halo 4 Community Playdate This Weekend!

[Update] Below in our community playdate details, you'll find a list of fellow Revolutionaries! Make sure you add everyone before Saturday and start getting a feel for what their brains look like when you shoot at them.

[Original] Are you lining up at midnight? Are you already sitting freezing outside of your local Gamestop? Are you... in Alaska and won't get the game until this weekend?

Well, then perfect timing! I'll be playing Halo 4 online on Saturday at 12 Noon PST. We can play Spartan Ops, Infinity Slayer, Big Team Battle, or maybe some campaign co-op! If you want to join in, make sure you add my gamertag to your Xbox Live friends list. Simply send a friend invite to danielrbischoff and make sure to let me know that you're from GameRevolution.

Also, be sure to add each other! Drop your gamertag in the comments and be sure to add other revolutionaries to your list! See you online this weekend (through my DMR's sights, of course).

Ugh... was so tempted to go out and grab a copy at midnight, I'm gonna wait till like January though =(. Last time I bought Reach and Black Ops at the same time and barely touched Reach ever. Gotta space em out this time to enjoy both fully!

I would love to be in Alaska, even if new games come late. The beauty of the state is more than worth it.

Plus, the people up there know what REAL WINTER COLD is. People here in Fresno get cold way too easily and look at me like I'm crazy when I'm wearing a t-shirt, shorts and sandals in the middle of December.

I'm not crazy... I'm just from Alaska.

That depends. If used44 lives in or near Eagle River I may have seen him, but I wouldn't have known it was him or really given it any thought. I haven't lived in Alaska in eight years, and I didn't really join GR's community until about a year after I moved here to California. Up until 2005 I only read the site's reviews and looked at cheats and stuff.

But damn it, I'd go back to Alaska if I could afford to.

Same here! I do hope we get the review copy a little earlier than launch, but Activision tends to hold Call of Duty until the last second.

I'm having an issue with my copy, disc 1 is unreadable there's a bit of scratches and finger smudges that don't seem to come off... -_- just my luck really wanted to play this today and get ready for this event! :(

Pre ordered at futureshop no idea how it happened maybe when they were making the cds someone touched it before the glass went over it and the smudges are stuck in between?
I really don't know how its made, but that's what I could come up with lol

They said to return it, will get full refund. So tomorrow I'm going to go out and buy one in a local video store!

Just had a thought. Maybe you guys should post events like this on the banner so they don't get run down the page? That way whenever someone comes to the page they'll see the notice? Or an event list/box on the front page would be cool too.

Good to hear! I was making fun of Used44 who said on the forums that he wouldn't get the game until this weekend. He ended up getting a copy at Walmart the day after launch too! I'll add you to the list right now.
