Join the GameRevolution Forums Game of the Year Showdown to Vote for Your Favorite Games!

Posted on Tuesday, November 15 @ 13:02:00 Eastern by

With only The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Mario Kart 7 to be released, I thought we'd get a jump on this and start the nominations and discussion now. Essentially, before GameRevolution decides its Game of the Year winners, the forums and community will decide theirs. We'll be featuring the ultimate Game of the Year Forums Winner in our GR GotY post, but until then, let's make with the nominating!

The following categories will be up for grabs for every game released in 2011 with a special category for remakes and rereleases. You can nominate NO MORE THAN 3 games for each category and then we'll vote them off once nominations are closed. (Voting will commence some time after Links finishes his TFCB.)

Here are the categories:

Best Downloadable Game (XBLA, PSN)
Best Racing Game
Best Action/Adventure Game
Best Sports Game
Best Shooter
Best Role-Playing Game Best Music Game
Best Fighting Game
Best Strategy Game
Best PC Game
Best Xbox 360 Game
Best PS3 Game
Best Handheld Game
Best iOS and Mobile Game
Biggest Disappointment
Best Remake/Rerelease
Game of the Year

Got any category suggestions? Make sure to add that in with your nominations for any of these categories and I'll add it to this post so others can nominate too.

BE SURE TO HEAD TO THIS FORUM THREAD TO NOMINATE AND VOTE!
