Let's Play Starhawk's Multiplayer Beta

Posted on Saturday, January 21 @ 11:46:32 Eastern by

After banging my head against the wall for forgetting about PSN downtime on Thursday, I managed to connect to a game yesterday. Here's the results.

Starhawk's build-and-battle mechanics are interesting enough, but I can't help but wonder how they'll be abused after a few months of multiplayer has rattled every last exploit from the system. Something so ambitious will need long terms support if it hopes to maintain a fair and balanced environment for new players and old hands alike.

We'll keep you tuned on any further developments leading up to Starhawk's release.

Seems fun enough. I've got a code form Uncharted 3, so I might have to look into it.

This game looks fun but I wonder if it'll have staying power.

After looking into it, my code is useless until Jan 31st. I'll probably have forgotten about it by then. Oh well, off to play the Kingdoms of Amalur Demo.

Much better than the Private Beta, I have YET to capture a flag. Every single match ends in a draw. Fucking Tower campers.

Takes a hella of a lot more cooperation than Battlefield 3, and no one seems to know how to Build in an efficient way. Pod Beacons and Supply Bases my friend.
