Let's Play with GameRevolution: Skyrim Episode 3!

Posted on Thursday, December 1 @ 21:06:40 Eastern by

Can you hear the fatigue in my voice? Last we left off, I was a little lost. I was litterally stuck on the face of a mountain with no clue where to go. I've found my way and Episode 3 will take us on quite the journey.

You might find I'm a little quieter in this episode. There're a lot less people to talk to when you're exploring dark caves filled with dangerous marauders. I'm also a little taken aback by how much I'm enjoying the game, even in short bursts like you see here. I literally haven't played this character whatsoever between episodes but I'm still loving every second. With one shout under my belt, where am I off to next?

Let me know what you think in the comments as your feedback will help shape this Let's Play as it progresses!!

First, two things I don't think you've noticed:
    1. Select the "Level Up" option in the "Item/Magic/Map" compass/menu, it'll let you increase your stats and perks.
    2. Poisons (eg, that frostbite venom you keep finding) can be applied to weapons for one hit.

On looting, I basically just stick to stuff with a weight/value ratio of at least 1:10 (ie, stuff should be worth at least 10 gold per pound), so mainly things like jewellery, potions, alcohol, most light armours, most helmets, and higher-end weapons. Although I can understand if you don't want to go that in-depth for the let's play, might bore some people.

"When am I going to get some wizard robes or something." -Well, you actually kind of missed some on a body back in the torture chambers in Helgen keep.

"Oh, can I get my arrows back? Is that what I'm doing now?" Yep.

"Oh ****, it was a bomb!" -Actually, it's just a lantern that set the oil (pinkish stuff on the ground) on fire. You can ignite it yourself with a flame spell.

Oh, and checking "Empty" containers? I've played Skyrim for over 70 hours, and New Vegas for over 300, and I still do that all the freaking time, pretty much thanks to having it ground into my psyche by about 400 hours of Fallout 3
