Mass Effect Monopoly Is Stellar, Not for Sale

Posted on Monday, January 2 @ 18:38:52 Eastern by

Someone over at DeviantArt went to the trouble of creating a Mass Effect version of Monopoly, complete with new pieces, properties, and money. I don't need to tell you how awesome that is. What's not awesome? Monopoly. I hate that fuckin' game.

Seriously, ask anyone that knows me! The second I have to mortgage anything, I want to quit. Right then and there. I'm done. What's the point of continuing? Do you know how hard it is to come back from that?! Maybe if Cerberus could help me rebuild all my houses and hotels I'd be more willing to continue the game.

I agree with you completely on Monopoly. Every game I've ever played of it essentially ended the first time a person landed on a property with houses or a hotel.

Fuck yeah Risk. Can never get anyone to play with me though. It's just as long and complex as Monopoly but with a much more satisfying end-game.

Risk? Monopoly? Long and complex? I used to work in a tabletop gaming shop and you all amuse me. Try Twilight Imperium. We once played a single game that lasted 9 hours.

There are no winners in Monopoly.

You want FANTASTIC board games and card games with real strategy to them, try these:
    Citadels
    Bang
    Dominion
    Heroclix
    Agricola
    Pandemic

Hells yeah to to Dominion, the expansions are great as well. Ankh Morpork and Fury of Dracula have been keeping the girlfriend and I busy for the past couple of months, highly recommended

Going with the Forbidden theme, Forbidden Island is like Indiana Jones: The Board Game. Without the nuclear fridges and aliens...
