After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

Mists of Pandaria Is Live: Are You Panda Or Are You Out?

Posted on Tuesday, September 25 @ 09:53:48 PST by Jonathan_Leack

Whether or not you're a fanatic of World of Warcraft you're perfectly aware that Mists of Pandaria, the game's fourth expansion, came out today given there are ads absolutely everywhere. No seriously, these damn pandas are taking over the internet.

As easy as it is to say "I'm done with World of Warcraft" it's much harder to say no once everyone is talking about it and you decide to look at a list of the new content. Here, I'll go ahead and throw it in your face:
  • Highly-stylized new content called Pandaria.
  • Kung Fu Pan... I mean Pandaren... have been added.
  • Now you can play as a Monk and use your chi and fists to pulverize foes.
  • Challenge modes for the hardcore, "I'm better than you" crowd.
  • Scenarios keep you from having a reason to /afk in Orgrimmar—or Stormwind if you're Alliance scum.
  • Pet battle system for the Pokemon—and Digimon but who plays that?—fans.
  • New talent system to confuse you into oblivion.
  • New enemies to destroy you and make you run back to your corpse.
  • Several new dungeons and battlegrounds to test your strength.
Quite honestly, I didn't even really think about picking up Mists of Pandaria until I gave it a good look two days ago. Now I'm ready for another month or two of making up excuses to not hang out with my friends and build up a nice Summer pale—who doesn't want to look like Kratos?

So I ask you: are you enjoying some panda or are you out? If you decide to pick it up let us know which class you'll be playing. I've been tearing my hair out  trying to decide whether to main my 85 Death Knight, 85 Paladin, or 85 Priest, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
