DAILY MANIFESTOMortal Kombat Films Coming to Blu-ray with Exclusive Game DLCPosted on Tuesday, February 8 @ 08:24:09 Eastern by Anthony Severino
![]() If you couldn't already tell, I'm a Mortal Kombat nut. With the new Mortal Kombat's release date inching ever closer, nostalgia is in the air. This latest news brings back a lot of memories, some fond, some... not so much. To bank on the increased interest surrounding the franchise, Warner Home Video has announced that Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation will be coming to Blu-ray. Both are set to hit store shelves the same day and date as the upcoming Mortal Kombat game, on April 19th. While the Mortal Kombat movie wasn't what I'd call a "good" movie, it had enough nods to MK fandom that it was enjoyable. Annihilation on the other hand, was god awful -- I'd rather dive into a spike-filled pit than sit through that movie again. If you do decide to pick up either of these flicks, each one comes with an exclusive alternate costume for Jade in the upcoming MK game. Which might be the only selling point for Annihilation. Any fans of these movies out there? Will you be picking them up on Blu-ray? If so, I'll leave you with this little sing-along: Comments

"Exactly."
I loved the first movie. Second one was balls. No idea why they killed Johnny Cage. And Henry, the conversion might be pretty decent. A lot of older films hold up real well....I just hope they take the time to give it the proper conversion.
