My Childhood Summed Up In One Single Object

Posted on Wednesday, March 14 @ 08:35:47 Eastern by
When I was growing up, there were few things I loved more than LEGOs, Transformers, and my Game Boy. That's why I got an uppercut of nostalgia the instant I gazed upon this creation of utter beauty. Behold, whatever this is.

Okay, it looks like a simple Game Boy made out of LEGOs, and a Tetris cartridge and a pair of AA batteries to go with it. But then, Autobots, roll out!

Eh, er, eh, ehh! (transforming sound)

Even the Tetris cartridge is ready to throwdown against the Decepticons, making this the more badass form of Soundwave (I didn't think that was possible).

There's more shots of this beast in different forms, over at MOCpages.

Awesome, makes me look at the Gameboy Pocket different. That was my first handheld console I ever owned and the first console that was mine.

Looking back on my childhood experiences with the GameBoy, I think they were designed to induce car sickness (especially when you added the screen magnifier/light attachment).

I used to steal people's gameboy games, game gear games, NES carts, Genesis carts and their lunch. Best grab I ever had was some girl who had Ox Tail for lunch. Well SHE NEVER SAW IT LOL. Best game stolen, I think, was MAdden for Game Gear - but, on more than one occassion I stol e those "game carrying cases" and I ended up with a bunch of games for the "theft of one".

I'm not catholic - but, confessing my sins is AWESOME.
