After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

Name That Tune

We recently previewed Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80's, and I was not 100% thrilled by the song list. So how awesome is it that Harmonix's next game Rock Band is taking requests?

About 18 tons of awesome is the answer. There were a lot of songs on the Rock the 80's preview disc that we are not allowed to talk about, and the song list isn't final, so I have to complain by omission. How did they miss Start Me Up by The Rolling Stones? Where the hell is Queen? Pink Floyd? Van Halen? I do believe I could have done a better job. I bet most of you have a favorite song that you can't believe was overlooked by Guitar Hero.

So go to the Rock Band official site, and there's a link right there on the front page to suggest your favorite four songs and bands. Or at least the ones you want to see in the game. If you don't shout 'em out now, you can't complain later.

My four were:

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Cocaine - Eric Clapton
Oye Como Va - Santana
Papa's Got A Brand New Bag - James Brown

What are yours?
