Finally Broke My Crowdfunding Rule
By oblivion437
Posted on 01/12/15
I've had a long-standing rule to avoid getting involved in any sort of crowdfunded activities.  I didn't donate to Shadowrun or Wasteland, but I did buy and enjoy both of them (I'm plugging both of those games right now, just so you know they're good).  I haven't...

DAILY MANIFESTO

New Corporate Masters

Posted on Thursday, January 31 @ 20:46:13 Eastern by Duke_Ferris
Some of you noticed that our parent company, Bolt Media, went bankrupt back in August. GR, however, was too awesome to die, and we've just been sold to a new company. I, for one, welcome our new Gorilla overlords.

Of course, it was more than just being awesome, it was also that we happened to be profitable - a rare enough occurance on the internet these days.

So we are now owned by Crave Online Media, who have a number of different sites including our new stepbrothers over at Action Trip.

So what does that mean for GR? More resources, for one thing, which means we can get all tools we're working on for you up faster. Will we finally leave Beta? Yes we will when we are done.

All the staff is still here, as is the vast GR compound, so don't worry about that. We're still real gamers just like you. We'll still keep ripping into the bad games and letting you know where your hard earned cash is best spent. We'll keep calling foul at the hypocracy of the anti-gaming activists.

Most of all though, we're going to keep having fun. I hope you'll join us.
