Yesterday, while cleaning up my media center, I found my copy of Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus, which I bought sometime before Christmas last year. I had been pretty excited about this game pre-release, what with it being the first "traditional", albeit shorter than usual,...

DAILY MANIFESTO

New Video Games - September 17th, 2013

Posted on Monday, September 16 @ 12:51:42 Eastern by

I feel really bad for any other game releasing this week... because what's the point? Grand Theft Auto V is the biggest release of this entire console generation, smashing pre-order records, and reaching incredible levels of hype.

Grand Theft Auto V - Rockstar Games, PS3, Xbox 360 - September 17th, 2013

Hot Wheels World's Best Driver - Warner, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS - September 17th, 2013

Real Boxing - Vivid Games, Vita - September 17th, 2013

Foul Play - Devolver Digital, PC, Xbox 360 - September 18th, 2013

Ironclad Tactics - Zachtronics, PC, Mac, Linux - September 18th, 2013

Urban Trial Freestyle - Tate Multimedia, PC - September 18th, 2013

Angry Birds Star Wars 2 - Rovio, iOS - September 19th, 2013

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD - Nintendo, Wii U (eShop) - September 20th, 2013

Even if you're part of the small fraction of gamers that won't be playing Grand Theft Auto V, there isn't a hell of a lot new to play this week. But can you really blame publishers? Would you want to put your game out against the biggest release of the year, and arguably the biggest release in history? I think not.

There's a few games coming via Steam, and if you just love it when two cash-grab franchises combine like Voltron with microtransactions, then Angry Birds Star Wars 2 is for you.

If you've been holding off on buying a Wii U, go ahead and grab one now that Wind Waker HD is out. There's even a snazzy new bundle with Wind Waker-themed hardware.
