LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

Everything I Learned About Call of Duty: Ghosts Last Week
I wasn't allowed to talk about the new Infinity Ward game last week when I met with Activision, and I don't have much to say now that Xbox One spilled the beans.

DAILY MANIFESTO

New Video Games November 25th - December 1st, 2012

Posted on Monday, November 26 @ 18:28:44 Eastern by

I'm not buying anything this week. I'm totally exhausted following a whirlwind of reviews, tons of new games and enhanced rereleases, and even a brand new home console from the big three. When all is said and done, I can't imagine anyone would find themselves without anything to get excited about this year. Many of the heavy hitters proved excellent games in their own right, so I've counted 2012 a success.

That said, the calendar waits for no one, and this week is no exception. Here's the full list:
If you're picking up anything you see here, let us know in the comments. I'll be back later as it's time to play catch-up. Can't pick a Game of the Year without a proper grasp on all the biggest titles, right?

Baldur's Gate looks interesting. Will you guys be doing a review? I've never played any of them but I always hear about how great they were.

I do not know about a review.... Maybe not. I don't think we've heard anything about review code.

Baldur's Gate is indeed awesome!! If you have even the smallest inkling on getting it, do it!! GR has all the reviews in the PC section, of course these reviews don't mention anything about the enhanced features in this one. But you at least get a good idea of why this series is so popular.

Excellent point. For anyone curious here's a link to our review from way back in 1999:

    Nothing interesting for me.
Really into Borderlands 2 at the moment anyway and still haven't touched AC3, probably will soon!

I wish Borderlands 2 was on Wii U.... Then I'd have an excuse to play it.

I think it would run so well into the Wii U. I think I was talking to John about it awhile ago.

"Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for Windows is available as a direct download from Beamdog, with no client install necessary. Pre-load the game now so you can access it immediately after release on November 28th!"

But I get an error clicking to buy it.

I'm beyond video gamed out right now. I got Dishonored in the mail today, I still have tons left to do in Assassin's Creed 3 and Borderlands 2, and a friend loaned me Black Ops 2 so I can decide whether I like it enough to get it or not (I'm actually having a surprisingly good time with it).

Multiplayer is definitely fun. At least it feels fresh, not like CoD4 was fresh, but it's different.

Agreed. It feels way more polished and balanced than Black Ops 1 was. I'm still getting the hang of some of the new stuff they've added/changed. I haven't decided if I like Scorestreaks yet or not, and I'm sad to see that quickscoping is still as prevalent as ever. A lot of the new weapon skins and attachments are pretty cool. I'm not a big fan of the Strike Force missions though, but I'm willing to bet I could get into them more once I have some more hands-on time to figure out exactly how they're supposed to work.

Ratchet & Clank is cross-buy and it's only $20, yay.

Cross-buy will definitely help that title. Does anyone really care about Ratchet & Clank anymore? If they stopped making those games would it matter?

I would care a lot if they made an actual sequel instead of this spinoff bullshit. All4One was a travesty, FFA looks meh... But an actual 15-hour sequel like old times (and wrapping up Ratchet's story too, there are still unresolved plot threads)? That's a wet dream for me.

I was hoping BG was being redone from the ground up like Black Mesa but looking at the screens it isn't an overhaul as much as a refinement. Disappointing.
