Nintendo 3DS Release Date and Price

Posted on Wednesday, September 29 @ 19:08:48 Eastern by
Soon to satisfy your coin-spending addiction pleasure.

The 3DS will be coming out in Japan February 26, 2011, and will cost ¥25,000 yen (about US $300). It will come in "Aqua Blue" and "Cosmos Black" (because "Metallic" has fallen out of favor as an adjective at Nintendo).

For our consideration: "The handheld would be out in the West in March 2011." Or whenever Nintendo can feel our agony of waiting, laugh hysterically, and then make us wait one week longer due to "delays".

Can't wait.... Even at $300 it seems like it'll be worth it. Someone commented somewhere that the remakes should be budget priced. While I agree, I'm sure I'll be willing to pay whatever they end up charging.

Damn, I wanted this, but at $300 its a bit steep for a handheld that will be replaced with a better, smaller version in 2 years.
