Parent Outraged Over Xbox Porn

Posted on Friday, July 30 @ 14:07:44 Eastern by

Texas woman goes ballistic over porn sent to her 11-year-old son's Xbox 360.

Mom Rosie Garcia says that when her son sent a message to one of his challengers, he received porn in response. This sent her into a panicked rage that fueled her to give Microsoft the porn sender's GamerTag, file a complaint on the Microsoft Xbox site, and contact the San Antonio Police Department.

Never mind that we have no idea what her son sent in the first place, or that the article about it had the words "Nintendo Xbox" in its title before the author fixed it, or that we are unlucky saps for not receiving porn over Xbox Live before her son did (sigh).

She has the right to be pissed off about it and to use her anger to do something about it, but this could have been prevented using the Parental Controls. And well, her son has probably seen porn before, somewhere, somehow, probably on his own. It's not that big of a deal.

You know, don't hate t obrag, but back when i was 11, porn was really hard to find! And now, little kids get'em like easy pie on their living room T.V. It kills the fun.

My, the time they are a-changin'!

Well wasn't too hard for me at that age - we had the hacked cable box that gave us the porn channels for free. Still though, that woman is stupid for not knowing what the world is up to in this day and age.
