Parents Upset Over New Nintendo Consoles, Since 1991
Posted on Wednesday, August 10 @ 13:36:39 Eastern by Nicholas Tan
You guys ever had this exchange with your parents about getting the SNES?
Me: Mom, can you buy me a Super Nintendo? Mom: Don't you already have a Nintendo? Me: Yes, but this is the Super Nintendo. Mom: What's the difference? Me: It has 16-bits. Mom: What's a bit? Me: I don't know...
I had to buy a SNES with my own money, and it meant saving up allowance for a full year and then I had to convince my parents that they should allow me to waste my money on more stupid Nintendo stuff. I only was permitted to finally do it because they wanted to teach me that fiscal responsibility can get me things I want. The joke's on them. I still play about video games and now I make my (admittedly modest) living writing about them for people who pay me money for my words! Take that, parents!
F***. If I could green-screen myself into F-Zero I'd die happy. That guy sucked though. He drove reverse for what seemed like a full lap and then crashed.
Hey De-Ting people are liking what you're saying. *points at thumbs up button* So somebody should tell Daniel to consider it for The People Speak. I agree, I like her hair too.

Also, I think both of my parents were like "HECK YEAH!!!" when the SNES came out.
Also, the green screen part was awesome. And he stopped talking when he died. That was some good writing.
