Plug-Bot-5000: FragFX Shark Wireless Controller

Posted on Friday, November 5 @ 14:09:44 Eastern by Plug-Bot-5000

Welcome once again, humanoid readers. Plug-Bot has taken it upon itself to update its serial number after testing the FragFX Shark controller from SplitFish - you may now refer to it as the Elite-Bot-5000.Why, you query? Because this PS3, PC, and Mac wireless controller has the capability of elevating the competitive game of man and machine alike. The Elite-Bot no longer plays first-person shooters with primitive dual analog sticks. It is better, stronger, faster, and now speaks in the third-person due to an inflated ego stemming from multiple headshots on n00b humans per day.

Much like the Elite-Bot-5000 itself, the Shark is an upgrade over previous, less efficient models. It boasts brand-new wireless technology to broadcast your input commands with zero communication latency, or what you carbon-based life forms refer to as "lag." This feature may not be instantly noticeable to casual FPS players or non-automatons, but make no mistake: a few milliseconds of lag time is what separates the best from the other assorted individuals. The Shark model is also fully programmable with technologically advanced "macros," and now allows you to set and clear said macros with a few simple button presses utilizing the clumsy digits on your human hands. Lastly, this controller runs for 50 hours or more on two AA batteries, surpassing the energy efficiency of even the Elite-Bot's own Trilithium power cells.

The $90 price tag on the FragFX Shark is prohibitive to most casual users. If you intend to play FPS games competitively on a console, however, it is integral to heightened success. According to the Elite-Bot's research, the majority of professional players use these analog stick-and-mouse format controllers for an edge over their competition. For them, the price of the Shark will easily be made back in tournament winnings. While the Elite-Bot-5000 has no need for your wasteful human currency, it endorses this product because of the self-esteem boost to its AI every time it pwns a less-equipped competitor.

Second. The only issue I have with this controller is the lack of Xbox 360 support. I'm a mouse-and-keyboard guy, so I'd be so much more at home playing Halo with a mouse controller.

But for PC gaming, I'd love to have this thing.
