Popcap Games Coming to Android

Posted on Tuesday, January 18 @ 15:59:48 Eastern by

If you've ever been addicted to a Popcap game, you're not alone. My own unhealthy obsession with Plants Vs Zombies didn't disrupt too many of my relationships or responsibilities. Probably because my girlfriend became addicted at the same time. Damn you co-op!

Of course, a Popcap addiction is kind of like a right of passage. It just so turns out that Android phone owners are about to get there own dream walk.

While everyone else is enjoying Plants Vs Zombies and Peggle, including those on iPhones, PCs, or Xbox 360s, Android users and Playstation 3 owners have been left out in the cold. Popcap's announcement that the first of their ports will land on the Android marketplace in quarter 2 of 2011 will make it a lot more lonely for PS3 gamers.

What's the problem? Even Valve, the staunchest of PS3 critics, are warming up to the system. You used to be cool Popcap.

"Popcap still cool! You play later!"
