DAILY MANIFESTOResistance 3 Multiplayer SurfacesPosted on Thursday, March 3 @ 14:36:29 Eastern by Josh_Laddin
![]() I'm no shooter fan, but even I understand that the multiplayer in Resistance 3 is a big deal. Resistance 2 brought crazy 60 player mayhem to the table - how is the sequel going to top that? Well, it won't, in terms of sheer numbers at least. Resistance 3 multiplayer will be trimmed down to 16 player matches, with both deathmatch and objective-based combat. The focus has instead shifted to customization: they want you to really define your role in the battle the way you choose, be it as an attacker, a defender, or a support specialist. You could spend your points leveling up to spawn with more weapons and increased mobility, or call down ammo beacons to replenish your teams' ammo while using a Bubble Shield for defense. A multiplayer beta will arrive on PSN sometimes this year, though exact date has yet to be determined. Until that time, you can check out the gameplay footage of multiplayer in action: [Source] As well as the blog with the details from Insomniac Games' own James Stevenson: [Source 2] Comments
