LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

Everything I Learned About Call of Duty: Ghosts Last Week

Screw the Wii U, Make Your Own Next Gen Nintendo

Posted on Wednesday, October 12 @ 15:40:46 Eastern by

OK... OK! It's not fair to pass judgment on the Wii U yet -- since it's not even out, and aside from a few tech demos, we have no idea what it's capable of. But this is GameRevolution! We don't care about fairness and we always pass judgment ahead of time.

We're skipping an entire generation on this one, folks. And instead, we're asking you what you would want to see in a next, next-gen Nintendo console. Like, pretend this casual stuff never happened, and Nintendo created a console with specs on par with the PS3 and 360, where would you want to see good ol' Ninty go next?

Tell us what you'd want in your ultimate Nintendo console! Remember, since this is make believe, you can load this thing up with whatever you want.

Don't forget the track and field mat to wii balance board connection.

And to answer the posed question-- once again I gotta say brain implant. How am I still not a cyborg? It's ****ing 2011.

    Good games.

Also, good online. Though I don't play online, but still.

Oooh, no wait, I thought up a better idea. A small, mechanized Miyamoto on top of the console that bows when you turn it on and welcomes you and hopes you have a fun time.

As far as software goes, all the major franchises on day one (or at least the first 3 months), strong third party support (no sh*tty dumbed down versions of games), a free game to get you started (even if it is from a previous generation) and a return to the good 'ol days of Nintendo's Seal of Quality, meaning no more shovelware. As far as hardware, just make the damn thing powerful.

I just want to go back to the good ol' days when Nintendo was one of the platform choices for a major game release.

I love Nintendo for their games, thus I have DS-lite and will pick up a 3DS next year. If I can get my Nintendo game fix on a handheld, why would I want a home console that smells of bad fish even before it's released, WiiU. Ok, I’ll stop capping on the big N. I would love to see a return to the innovation without gimmickry that was the NES, SNES, GameBoy, and GameBoy Advance. Somewhere along the way Nintendo got it in their head that they had to put a gimmick into every new product, trust me Nintendo you don’t have to give us some strange new things just a solid game console that we can play hardcore games on.

The new Wii needs to drive my ass to the store, and it needs to dispense Percocet

Instead of the Wiimote a hamburger and instead of the nunchuck an energy drink, and the camera translates your eating and drinking into commands to play games.

Third parties actually caring about making good games, as well as marketing them more heavily. None of that was Nintendo's fault this generation.

Theres always the option of a detachable, washable, gloryhole attachment that keeps a moist and slightly above room temperature environment. Fuck this game? I may very well have to, get me a washcloth... hit an entirely different sweet spot on your console than back in the NES days.
