I've tried to play Madden. Really, I have. I don't get it. As a simulation I commend it for its accuracy, but the way people are fans of Madden like they're fans of a football team makes no sense to me.

Still, another season passes, another Madden game gets to predict the super bowl outcome. Betters line up at their local bookies, offices pass around the brackets, and I eat tons of junk food.

It's like Thanksgiving but with less family and even more gluttony, if that's possible.

If you haven't placed your bet on a spread yet, you might like to know that the Steelers will win the superbowl by four points, edging out the Packers 24-20.
