Stupid Criminals: I'll Play CoD in Real Life

Posted on Friday, November 11 @ 17:16:16 Eastern by Josh_Laddin
With the rate these stories are popping up, this could totally be a regular feature. Today's stupid criminal story comes out of Aurora, Colorado, and features a guy who takes his Call of Duty way too seriously.

Like so many other games, Lomorin Sar preordered Modern Warfare 3 so he could shoot up a bunch of virtual people come the midnight release. But when he went to pick up the game, the Best Buy employees could only shrug and tell him they had already sold out. Now that's something to be legitimately angry about, but Sar probably went a little over the top.

In a fit of rage, Sar threatened to use his CoD skills IRL, asking when the employees when their shifts were over so he could shoot them in parking lot when they left. He also said he'd blow up the store, but I'd be hitting the silent alarm over that first threat myself (do they have silent alarms at Best Buy)?

Of course, the employees called the cops asap after the guy walked out and he was pulled over shortly and slapped with disorderly conduct.

That's what he gets for trying to take someone else's AC130

A shame that he didn't actually try to use his CoD skills. I'd love to read a police report about a crazed gunman trying to circle strafe while Halo-hopping.

It was worthy of its own manifesto, and we're also talking about making this a recurring series.

Fair enough, but exactly how many times can we get this guy angry enough to get arrested like this on a regular basis?

Answer: No, Best Buy doesn't have silent alarms.
