While younger gamers have flocked to the brand, more mature consumers remain reluctant to jump on board. Skylanders move forward with trappable enemies, though I doubt it’ll turn stubborn heads.

Tell GR: All About That GTA Moment

Recognizing a landmark in Liberty City felt exciting not just because of how transportive that felt (what with it being the first memorable place-finding object in an entirely virtual world), but because of the memory of what had happened only minutes prior. My friends and I were attempting to ratchet Grand Theft Auto's now signature six-star wanted system to its maximum without using a shoulder button shuffle cheat code.

Grand Theft Auto III still impresses me. The world felt complete and full of secrets, if you could only scale the looming skyscrapers and find out what was waiting on top beyond the render-fog. Still, those six stars eluded us until we found a small outcropping near the police station in Portland. From there, enough ammunition could take out scores of assaulting police officers, but it didn't prepare me for what actually happened.

With SWAT and helicopters filling the screen, I panicked and took off running. I tried tossing grenades as I went until finally one of my explosives detonated just behind a charging police cruiser, launching the flaming heap of wreckage at me.
