Tell GR: What Did You Give This Christmas?
Posted on Thursday, December 29 @ 15:46:38 Eastern by Daniel Bischoff
Ha, I got my kids. PS Move Heroes. :/ It might end up being traded for something else. Mostly they just got a crap load of Starwars toys. MILLENIUM FALCON!
My girlfriend had a very Portal Christmas; I got her her own talking turret figure, Aperture Science water bottle, Aperture Science tank top and a GLaDOS ring all housed in a weighted companion cube. Best part is she got me Portal stuff as well for Christmas! Except no cake
I remember when Christmas was like that for me. The anticipation was always a killer. As far as gift giving goes I got my daughter a 3DS with Zelda and Mario and a Fender Strat with amp and all the necessary accessories and some more Skylanders figures. My son since he isn't even two yet got a bunch of monster trucks and a power wheel. I got my wife all new bedroom furniture and the Harry Potter Blu Ray collection.
Gifting the super-cheap holiday deals on Steam has been the thriftiest way to complete my Christmas shopping while still getting people presents I know they'll love.
Since her laptop was so old and crappy it couldn't play 3yr old games I built my GF a PC out of a few spare parts and some new ones (New mobo/cpu/ram rest was used) and loaded her up with a few Steam games. She got Portal 1 & 2, Titan Quest, Magicka and something else I can't remember right now. We spent the night after Christmas pulling an all nighter to beat the single player in Portal 2 and sometime soon we'll do the multiplayer since neither of us have done that yet.
I got my sister a Kindle (which she hasn't put down), my mom a new tableware set, my dad some books, and my brother-in-law a magazine subscription, coffee sampler, and Back to the Future for Wii (he's a huge B2TF fan and loves the game so far).
Bought my dad a 25$ zynga card for his poker addiction lol Bought a body groomer for GF's dad for the new years gift exchange Got my GF a blackberry playbook.
