Tell GR: What Do I Play Next?

Posted on Thursday, January 26 @ 16:43:23 Eastern by

Before we get to the weekend and I have to tell you all what I'm playing, I thought I'd ask for your advice. I have a weekend before new releases start to tumble in and two games that I'd like to play and finish (in other words, just play the campaign until the credits roll). Both of these passed me by. Both of these seem to provide good single-player experiences. Both of these come highly recommended.

Do I play Enslaved: Odyssey to the West or Splinter Cell: Conviction?

I don't know what Enslaved is like, but bear in mind that even on the hardest difficulty, Conviction is still the easiest game I own by far.

Enslaved--I haven't played it. Conviction was fun, but not a game-changer. You'll feel like you've played it before to some extent, and I'm sure your free game time is valuable.

ENSLAVED. One vote for me and another from used44. But I doubt you really needed to ask.

Enslaved. I own it, and it's very good, recommend it to Action Adventure fans by a lot.

Also never played Enslaved, but as for Conviction, was like 5 hours long, had the most annoyingly talkative AI ever, the stealth was essentially optional, and the story was...well, unnoteworthy enough that I hardly remember it. So yeah, maybe you could just play both, since Conviction will definitely leave you wanting more (of a different, better game).

Hahaha that's totally true, Conviction was just Splinter Cell with optional stealth.

Play Enslaved. Conviction was just the next splinter cell without anything new or memorable. While Enslaved did tack on ideas from other games, it still felt unique. Overall Enslaved was just more fun to play.

I own both, but never got around to playing Conviction, either. I loved Enslaved though, and highly recommend it.
