Tell GR: What Game Has Scared You The Most?

Posted on Tuesday, October 29 @ 16:30:00 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Halloween is just around the corner, and in celebration of this spooky holiday, we here at GameRevolution want to relish in the fright-filled fun that the horror genre has to offer. Video games are home to some of the most disturbing and downright unnerving experiences around, and we want to know which of them have affected you the most.

Personally, I always come back to Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem when reminiscing about my scariest gaming experiences. While it may not be the definitive horror title, it holds a special place in my heart simply because it is one of the few horror games I really enjoyed.

You see, I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but Silicon Knight's first effort on the GameCube is one of the few exceptions to that rule. From its crazy sanity effects to the bloody bath scene, Eternal Darkness is undoubtedly the most unsettling game I've ever been courageous enough to play.

But enough about me. I'm sure many of you are far braver than I, so be sure to comment below and let us know which horror titles have managed to totally freak you out.

What game has scared you the most?
