Tell GR: What Was Your Favorite VGA Announcement?

Posted on Monday, December 12 @ 18:00:38 Eastern by

PLATINUM GAMES BABY! I know it's not really a Kojima game anymore... It's like Bayonetta in Metal Gear Solid... regardless, two great tastes that go great together, and I rather see Rising than no Rising at all.

What was your favorite VGA reveal or announcement?

    Probably the Left of Us.

But I was hoping for GTA5, Red Dead Redemption Sequel, Heavy Rain sequel, Blizzards next gen MMORPG, and Relic's decision to make another Company of Heroes-esque game.

The Last of Us looked amazing. I wish there was actual gameplay in the video though. It's all just hype when there's no gameplay footage. Which is just another reason why the VGA's blow.

I liked all of them because they all proved, yet again, that the VGAs are not worth watching, not even for the trailers. I especially liked how hyped up The Left of Us, I mean The Last Left, I mean The Last of Us was by the host and others, and how utterly uninformative the trailer was. I think the phrases "mind-blowing" and "genre-defining" were being thrown about beforehand. How can they justify those statements based on that trailer?

Ha. I did say "Left of Us" Dufus alert. My game could either be a NASCAR game or...

A game where you are in blown apart into several pieces and scattered around the map. You then have to use your different body parts to solve puzzles so you can be in more than one place. Your arm can climb, leg hop and kick, hands turn knobs, brain zap things, chest used as a surf board, or team parts up. You do this so you can put your body back together only to have it explode on the next stage. PSN GAME!!! CALLED IT!!!

Also, there's already a game in development where you will lose limbs and use that to solve puzzles, can't remember the name though.

Dang it. You're right. I went and searched "lost limbs to solve puzzles" Its called Never Dead. Its a 3rd person shooter where you can lose limbs which will help with puzzles later.

Nobody is original anymore....least of all me...
