Tell GR: What Will Convince You To Upgrade To Next-Gen?

Posted on Tuesday, November 12 @ 19:02:11 Eastern by

When Apple unveiled the first iPhone, I knew I had to be there on day one, I knew I needed to have the hottest new piece of tech I'd seen in decades and I knew I couldn't wait a second longer than anyone else. Of course, just months after the first iPhone was released priced at $600 plus a phone contract, Apple discounted their shiny new device by a cool $200.

I felt like such a fool, but it was an early adopter tax I was willing to write-off thanks to the sheer volume of impressed looks I got from friends, family, random strangers... everyone. I've always been an early adopter, but it's clear to me why someone might wait a little before putting hundreds of dollars down on a gadget or other enviable item.

But what about you? If you're not getting a next-generation Xbox One or PS4 at launch, what's it gonna take? If you're not an early adopter, what do you need to see from Sony and Microsoft before you'll get one of their new machines? Price drop? Software? Don't wanna risk your cash on a first-run piece of tech? What's it gonna take?!

What will convince you to upgrade to next-gen?
