Tell GR: What's Your Favorite Mod?

Posted on Thursday, October 27 @ 16:56:43 Eastern by

Pretty simple really! I've got some new PC hardware coming in and I'll have laundry list of games to play to catch up in the world of computer gaming. Once I'm done with that I'll need to check out the best mods! I've already professed my love of GunGame plenty of times.

What's your favorite mod?

    Tryin' to think...

It has to be Galactic Warfare for CoD4, although I do love modding TES and Fallout. I also saw a WarioWare mod for TF2 recently. I'm-a gonna try that out, too.

Both Fallout 3 and New Vegas for PC have a ridiculous amount of mods available and they both have nexus sites to host them all with a rating system. So many, I couldn't pick one, but I currently wish my ps3 copy of New Vegas was a PC one.

There were a few mods for the original Half-Life back in the day. One was a class-based capture the flag game and the other was an objective-based tactical shooter that had rounds instead of respawns.

Not really sure whatever happened to them, but at the time they were the bee's knees.

Fallout 3: Wanderer's Edition and Martigen's Mutant Mod for Fallout 3. Both pretty much change how you play the game. Running head long into battle probably will get you killed if you have the wrong weapon.

I liked Natural Selection for half life. Dunno if it ever went to source or any other games.

Haven't had a computer that can run new games in nearly 6-7 years. However I loved the True War mod for Red Alert 2, can't find it anymore though. I loved Day of Defeat for Half-Life, but another good one was The Opera, which turned Half-Life multiplayer into a John Woo film!

The Nude Raider mod was cool, but I have the most fun with Garry's Mod. Something about me vs 10 striders.

Going to have to go with CounterStrike, because working in class was for squares.
