Tell GR: Which Console Will You Recommend This Christmas?

The holiday shopping season is right around the corner (my wallet is already shivering in fear). Being the go-to gamer in my family and social circle, each year someone asks me which console they should buy this year, and almost every year it's been different answer. A lot of it depends on price, value, or games. Last year, for example, I receommended the Xbox 360 with Kinect. Kinect is cool for casual gamers, and the Xbox 360 still has plenty of shooters for the kids. It was also the "it" console at the time. But this year, things aren't as clear.
