The Appendix I: Osama Bin Dead

As GR hunts the internet for breaking news and humorous pics, there comes on occasion those images that are clearly worthy but have no relevance to the story. And they regrettably end up lost in the digital ether, or buried in a folder, or eaten by large space bees. But no more!

The Appendix will save these poor souls, ten at a time. Of course, we are not the only lifelines for these images; you can be too. If you have an image you think is gaming-related, relevant, fresh, recent, intelligent, fits the size of this manifesto, not obviously copyrighted, and is above all hilarious and/or awesome, then it probably belongs in The Appendix.

Entry: To enter, post the URL of one or two pictures in the body of a Private Message in my GR inbox with the title "The Appendix II" (because that's what the next one's going to be called). We have decided against using the comments or forums for submissions, because that would ruin the surprise.

Qualification: Do not submit more than two URLs per Appendix, since I want to give everyone a chance to be given credit. Any more than two and I will simply ignore the entries after the second. If you've got screen captures, please use a simple image-sharing site like imgur. And if by chance, multiple people send me a URL to the same picture and that picture gets into The Appendix, I will give credit to the first three people who send me a URL to that picture.

Judgment: I will be looking for images that hit all of the bolded words in the second paragraph. If the image is copyrighted, but is hilarious and awesome enough, then I will also give credit to the source. It's also difficult sometimes to tell whether an image is recent as well, but again, its potential awesomeness can trump everything else. Also don't worry about a large image too much, since I'll be reducing it anyway to fit the width of this blog; instead, worry about whether reducing the image will make it look terrible.

As for the schedule, I'm planning on making The Appendix weekly, but who knows, the ninja might surprise you.
