Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

State of Decay Review
Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it
By Starling

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

DAILY MANIFESTO

The Download February 14th, 2013

Posted on Thursday, February 14 @ 16:30:00 Eastern by

I'm interested in seeing how the new consoles approach the downloadable market. Day and date with retail? Discounts? Sales? It seems like the PC has welcomed it. When was the last time you bought a retail PC game? It almost seems impossible to me at this point. Oh you say "what if you can't get access to the internet?" Well, how the heck are you reading this right now then?

Yeah, that's right. Let's get to the list:

Nintendo eShop

Oh look, I can see my house from here. "Here" of course being my Wii U and "my house" being the thing that I'm sitting in while I use it. Oh, hey a Naruto game! Here's the list:
  • Wii Street U powered by Google - Wii U
  • Naruto Powerful Shippuden - 3DS Demo
  • Dig Dug - 3DS
  • Rabbids Travel In Time 3D - 3DS
  • Petz Fantasy 3D - 3DS
  • Moke Moke - 3DS/DSi
  • World Heroes 2 JET - Wii Virtual Console
Xbox Live Arcade

Pokemon, sure, definitely, big fan. Digimon, OK yeah, I was more of a Pokemon guy, but whatever. Yu-Gi-Oh? Really? Yu-Gi-Oh? ... Four players? What's that like?
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Decade Duels Plus
PlayStation Network

If you need more on the newly added software for PlayStation platforms, PSLS's weekly PSN update is my source for The Download and you don't need to be a fanboy to visit.
  • Persona 4 Arena - PS3
  • Everybody Dance: Digital - PS3
  • Alien Breed - PS3/Vita
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Decade Duels Plus - PS3
  • Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken - Vita
  • Ecolibrium - Vita
  • Twisted Metal - PS1 Classic
  • Twisted Metal: Black - PS2 Classic
  • Rebel Raiders Operation Nighthawk - PS2 Classic
  • Closure - Free for PS+ Subscriber
Steam

Yeesh, I hope you dodged a bullet with Aliens. If you did, are there any other titles in this week's update that might entice you?
  • ImpirePC
  • Ys I & II Chronicles+ - PC
  • Art Rage 4 - PC, Mac
  • RaceRoom Racing Experience - PC
  • Aliens: Colonial Marines - PC

Ghostbusters

Whether you want to accept it or not, you've received many calls on your phone and none of them have been for you ad on Craigslist saying that you're available for any ghost busting gigs. Anthony has accepted it and found peace. I have also accepted it, but I'm impatient and very not at peace!

You see, I need to get to the next floor so I can keep bustin' ghosts. But in order to do that, I have to capture more ghosts which gets me more slime which gets me up the tower or currency which gives me upgrades to my bustin' efficiency. Ghostbusters, like any good free to play game, is so incredibly addicting you just want to throw money at it so you can keep playing. It's like an arcade machine in your pocket with a tailor made attract-mode. Do not give in.

Hey, one noteworthy download is System Shock 2, on GOG, for 10 USD. It seems some developer finally acquired the distribution rights and patched it up to work on modern operating systems. Not sure if/when it will come to Steam.

Should I add GOG to the weekly post?

Honestly, I only just signed up the other day so I could buy roller coaster tycoon, and am not that familiar with the site. I'm not sure how often they get new games.

We get e-mails from the company that reps GOG all the time, but I wasn't sure many readers would be engaged by all the classic games when this and New Video Games are focused on what new releases there are in a week.

I'm starting Skyrim over, so I'll waut until I'm level 12 or something like that before going to Solstheim. It'll take a few days.

Missed System Shock 2, so probably picking that up. Also no question when it comes to Ys 1&2, my favorite adventure games.
