The Five Best Value Games
Posted on Wednesday, July 28 @ 14:55:55 Eastern by Duke_Ferris
A British coupon site came to me for help today, with a kind of challenge: To name what I felt were the five best value games available today.
Narrowing it to only five was tricky, but here we go.
5 - League of Legends - You just can't get any cheaper than free. Made by the mad geniuses behind the Defense of the Ancients Warcraft mod, LoL is a top-shelf PC game that you can play 100% for free, assuming you can resist the urge to reskin your character.
4- DeathSpank - Don't be alarmed by the title, DeathSpank is an hysterically funny, kid friendly game, and the only brand-new title on my list. It's also a full-blown Action/RPG with a huge overland map. Created by some of the folks behind Monkey Island 2, the wit and the quality make this game a bargain at only $15 on Xbox Live Arcade or Playstation Network.
3- Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition - This is the only full-priced game on my list. Why? Because it is absolutely worth it. The GotY version of the title comes with all five expansion packs along with the original game. Hundreds of hours of awesome gameplay in one little package.
2- Sid Meier's Pirates for PSP - Older gamers will remember Pirates as one of the most groundbreaking games of all time. In recent years they remade it, improved it a great deal, and the best of all the versions was the portable one. Now only $10, you simply can't go wrong.
1- The Orange Box - No other game came close to being my number one pick. Featuring the classic game Half Life 2 along with two episodic expansions, the multiplayer game Team Fortress, and the incredible Portal, The Orange Box is now bargain priced at $20.
This list will also be featured over in the Most Wanted section of VoucherCodes.co.uk where, if you happen to live in England, they have coupons for discounts on consoles, games and accessories including Dell coupons , Currys discount codes and Argos discount codes.
There were too many runners' up for me to count, but I'm sure you can add them in the comments. Now I have to look up what Currys is, and how it's pronounced.
