The perils of the Hype Train…

The Halo Hype Train Kicks Off Today

Posted on Tuesday, September 7 @ 15:19:02 Eastern by
A new Halo game, a new marketing tidal wave, ready to inundate your dashboard with all the promotional material you'll ever need. Are you ready for 7 days of Halo: Reach?

Here's the breakdown:

September 7th: "Halo: Reach Premium Theme"
September 8th: "Campaign Preview"
September 9th: "50% Off Avatar Warthog Prop Offer"
September 10th: "Firefight Preview"
September 11th: "Deliver Hope - Director's Cut"
September 12th: "Multiplayer Preview"
September 13th: "Halo: Reach Collection Update (Avatar)"

Nevermind if you've already got your nefarious hacker hands on the game already, this content will be unlocked day by day, giving the rabid masses their hamster-like drip feed of Halo goodness. Of course, Halo: Reach won't be going away at the end of the week. I'm personally excited for the full length Deliver Hope clip which was previous Manifesto'd before. Between the 14th and the 19th Microsoft will be giving gamers a free Reach Invasion Theme, playtimes with Bungie Devs, not to mention a free weekend of Gold Membership from the 17th to the 20th.

OK, enough of the marketing. I have a request of you loyal Manifesto readers. I seriously, don't have enough friends on Xbox Live. I'm hoping to get GR-parties together once Halo: Reach lands. Here's my proposal: post your gamertag in this thread, send friend requests and messages to each other, and start playing games together! Once Halo: Reach is here, I'll be setting up specific times for us to gather and play the game. Whether that means the GR community will be playing Firefight, Firefight Vs, the co-op campaign, or good old-fashioned slayer is up in the air. If enough people are posting their GTs in this thread, I'll schedule a specific play schedule and we can all play some Gay-lo together!

Here's my GT, in case you haven't already gotten it: danielrbischoff. I'll post a reminder at the end of the week.
