So much more than war...

The recent blog, Peace in the Era of Call of Duty  really made me think about war games that dig deeper than simply a kill streak reward. The first game that came to mind was Spec-Ops: The Line and although I haven’t played it, I began to wonder if it did the war genre as...

The People Speak - Big Alex Series

Posted on Thursday, July 25 @ 10:28:22 Eastern by

Two consoles enter, one leaves. Or both leave. I mean this is still anybody's hardware race. I don't think we can declare a winner, but at least it's entertaining to watch. With Xbox One taking steps to welcome indies with open arms and renew gamer faith in the brand, things are bound to heat up.

But this is The People Speak. It's not about the console war, it's about your thoughts on the console war, so let's get to our list. This week's big winner is moretokes with a whopping 27 upvotes. Welcome to the warm butthole of history, moretokes. You deserve this.

We'll be back next week with another round-up of the world's finest internet comments, but until then, let's take a look at the comments that landed Alex ahead of BigTruckSeries for most downvoted this week. Well, not completely ahead of BTS, he still had the first, second, and third most-downvoted on lock:

The cost of playing the next Halo is an extra hundred dollars and having an always on camera/microphone combo staring at even when you're console isn't being used. If you're fine with that, then have fun. I'm not.

Because I'm entirely PC gamer I can give an unbiased opinion and that opinion is:
From what I've heard about both Xbox One and Playstation 4, PS4 is more user friendly, has better price point, has better design, better marketing, well, better EVERYTHING I as an stranger to consoles would ever care about.
My 2 cents.

p.s. For as long as kinect is mandatory I will not support the xboxone. If people can put a bunch of towels on top of it, so it can see or hear anything, and your console will still work, then fine.
But microsoft has already patented technology all around the kinect to watch you, look at things in your room, make sure only you are the one watching the movie you rented(Yes this is a patent they have)
TLDR: If kinect needs to actually see you all the time then no buy.
