After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

The People Speak - Casting A Spell

Posted on Wednesday, June 26 @ 19:13:53 PST by

I cast a magic spell on the GameRevolution comments every week hoping to find the best and the brightest... or the bounciest, roundest, biggest, my list of adjectives can go on and on. Thankfully, it doesn't have to because this week's top comments have been found.

Kazunari's compliments lead the way this week, followed closely by more Xbox One vs PS4 chatter. This is Kazunari's first win and first TPS Report appearance, so everyone give our most celebrated user of the week a big round of applause, and then click on the name and drop a comrade request so you can be best friends and invite each other for cake.

For reference, tinymhg was denied entrance into this week's TPS after 8 downvotes. Hubmaier was nearly prevented entry as well, and instead sits in fifth place this week. Now, I'll wave my magic boobs wand and give everyone some statistics.

For the week: 187 active commenters wrote 1155 comments

Can You Believe This A****** Gave Two Perfect Scores In A Week?

14 Thumbs Up - 1 Thumbs Down

I know for a fact that if I click on a link on the front-page here, I'm going to walk into something truthful. It's what's kept me coming back to GR all these years. If something sucks, you guys say it up front. So if you give two 5s in a row, big deal. Just so happens there were two games that were worthy of 5s in a row.

Xbox One Is Pricey Because Microsoft Doesn't Put Consumers First Like Sony Does

12 Thumbs Up - 1 Thumbs Down

Sony puts consumers first? *cough* Vita memory cards *cough*

The DualShock 4 May Be Larger Than You Think

11 Thumbs Up - 0 Thumbs Down

Dammit, Sony! I've spent the last two decades of my life malforming my hands into arthritic gaming claws--and NOW you fix it? I would give you a thumbs-up, if my thumbs could still bend.

Microsoft Ready To Give Xbox One A Price Drop If Necessary, Says Pachter

12 Thumbs Up - 2 Thumbs Down

Price drop? Buuuuut I thought at $499 for an Xbone Microsoft is already "over-delivering value"

Tell GR: Does The Xbox One-Eighty Change Your Next-Gen Decision?

15 Thumbs Up - 6 Thumbs Down

No. Nein. Nyet. Nee. Non. Nij.
Only way the XBone gets me is if I lose my job, try to hang myself, botch it, develop amnesia from oxygen deprivation, and get memory therapy from a Microsoft fanboy. Not that I'm going for the PS4. Much more inclined to build a PC this generation.

The People Speak wraps up the five highest-rated (sorta) comments for the past 7 days. Anyone can offer their beautiful words on the week's news, reviews, previews, and topics... all you have to do is register for an account, comrade! Don't forget to down vote the competition!
