The People Speak - Disaster Proof

Despite the persistent work by Electronic Arts and Maxis, it seems like SimCity will never escape the stink of its launch or the always-online requirements players have had to wrestle with over the past few weeks. Thankfully it's made for incredible fodder in the comments section. Not only was the review filled with excellent quips, but the subsequent fallout around the title also offered plenty of opportunity. Here's this week's best comments:

The sad part for consumers is always-on DRM doesn't combat piracy, it encourages it. It'll be cracked fast and while everyone is raging at the servers being flaky, the pirates will be playing the game without a problem. Good job, EA.

Thats why society will never let me be anyone's boss. Also I smack female employees on the ass when they do a good job and call them sugartits when I'm buzzed on Bailey's and coffee. So... for those three reasons I guess.

Bad MMO launch? Check. Ruin classic remake with DRM?Check. I could go on, but those were two major **** ups for EA within the last 2 years. What is keeping that company alive? They are going to have to reconsider their entire company platform at this point, forget developers rehauling engines or rebooting franchises this is a company reboot. Someone needs to reboot EA, someone? anyone?
