The recent blog, Peace in the Era of Call of Duty  really made me think about war games that dig deeper than simply a kill streak reward. The first game that came to mind was Spec-Ops: The Line and although I haven’t played it, I began to wonder if it did the war genre as...

The People Speak - Scummy

Posted on Wednesday, November 6 @ 17:57:22 Eastern by

This week's TPS Report is dominated by reactions to the DDoS attack carried out against charity organization Extra Life. Last weekend, tons of gamers streamed their favorite games in the hopes that viewers would donate to the cause. When the site was struck by several distributed denial of service attacks, generous people couldn't donate, but it didn't stop Extra Life from racking up a record amount of funds for the Children's Miracle Network.

While Chunibrow takes the top spot in our round-up of commenters, special mention goes to boss man Anthony_Severino who landed 33 upvotes for his take on the Extra Life situation. PineappleUltra also sneaks in a zinger about Xbox One's Resolutiongate, depsite the focus on Extra Life in this week's round-up.

Who will take next week's commenting crown? Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel folks. Until then, don't forget to answer our weekly question in Tell GameRevolution: How can shooters innovate?

What? But he's not blaming the users of the internet, he's blaming the nature of it. The anonymity and freedom from consequences of ones' action are the things that drive these fucks to do shit like this; DDoSing charity events.
