After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

I preferred Squidward. At least then I didn't hate my face so much, but Squidward is gone and scary-monacle-dude is here to stay, so I'll have to deal with it. Something you'll all have to deal with? BigTrucksSeries making it into this week's spotlight on the top comments.

That's right comrades, De-Ting takes the top two spots and hauls BigTruckSeries in with him. While Xbox One chatter has died down, it's still the hot topic in gaming communities everywhere and that'll likely continue into E3, where more details and software will be shown for both Xbox One and PS4.

Remember to answer this week's Tell GR: How Should Next-Gen Consoles Handle Used Games? We'll also have a special off-topic podcast for this week's GameRevolution Radio. Until next week, consider the competition for TPS Report honors and remember to downvote these guys everywhere you see 'em.

Xbox One Not Designed To Stand Upright, Intended To Sit Horizontally

18 Thumbs Up - 1 Thumbs Down

It always depends on where it fits, and if having it on its side causes any performance issues.

I'm surprise they haven't said it'll also need to be seated on a throne of lies, on top of a pedestal of undeserved sense of superiority, and crowned with a solid gold "OBEY" ball cap turned sideways.

Microsoft Aiming For Over One Billion In Next-Gen Console Sales

13 Thumbs Up - 3 Thumbs Down

Employee: So should we make this console for games?
Boss: F*ck the gamers!
Employee: Should we make the console usable for people all over the world who, for instance, may not be fortunate enough have access to a decent Internet connection?
Boss: F*ck the less fortunate!
Employee: Should we maybe pay a bit of attention to all the negative feedback that's been floating around the Internet regarding all the rumors about the next Xbox?
Boss: F*ck people's opinions!
Employee: And how many do you wanna sell?
Boss: (with pinky finger raised to his mouth) One billion!!
Everybody: Yay! Yay!
And there was much rejoicing.

Why E3 Is Bad For Previews: Shov-y Swag Guy

11 Thumbs Up - 1 Thumbs Down

E3 is a lot like a car show.
Concept cars - as sexy a they may be - almost never make it to final production as they were in concept form after the bean counters have emasculated them.
Games are the same way. for the most part, all you are seeing is a beta or demo.
I miss the days of Gamepro and Nintendo Power where our only preview of a game was reading about it. Now, the entire game gets spoiled online before its official release.

Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset

11 Thumbs Up - 0 Thumbs Down

I have a question for Daniel, and the rest of the GR staff. I don't think any of you will answer, but here is the question: With the continued unpopularity of Windows 8, and their own Tablet tanking with poor reviews and sales figures... why is Microsoft continuing to shove Windows 8 down our throats? It makes no sense at all, it's like a Square-level bad decision. It's a shitty OS, most people agree on this, some like it I guess. Most, however, don't. It sells poorly, it's continuing to sell poorly, and it's one of the most maligned OS's in memory, yet.... they continue to slap it into everything, and try to get the ****er to sell. So my question is... why? Why are they shoving it down our throats? This POS is now on a console in addition to everything else they shoehorn Windows 8 onto.

Maybe you gentlemen and gentlewomen have an answer I'm not thinking of, because surely a multi-billion dollar Corporation isn't a complete moron.

The People Speak wraps up the five highest-rated (sorta) comments for the past 7 days. Anyone can offer their beautiful words on the week's news, reviews, previews, and topics... all you have to do is register for an account, comrade! Don't forget to down vote the competition!
