I wish I could claim some mastery over this topsy-turvy classic starring elf boy who saves princess. Predictable, right?

Finally Broke My Crowdfunding Rule
By oblivion437
Posted on 01/12/15
I've had a long-standing rule to avoid getting involved in any sort of crowdfunded activities.  I didn't donate to Shadowrun or Wasteland, but I did buy and enjoy both of them (I'm plugging both of those games right now, just so you know they're good).  I haven't...

Dark Souls II: To wait or not to wait..
Delta47 writes:
"Hi guys, so I've really gotten into Dark Souls lately and I'm not not sure how far I am into the game (I'm currently stuck on Sif the wolf), but Dark Souls II has just came out and I want to hop on board right now, rather than wait till I finish Dark Souls, which could take a while. But I realize if I did get it now I probably wouldn't ever finish the original. So I'm in a bit of a predicament, any advice?"

Screen Gems Signs on to Produce The Last of Us Movie Adaptation
Longo_2_guns writes: The game that was most heavily praised for being cinematic in its storytelling is going to get a cinematic adaptation? How necessary is this, really?
The Last of Us is a big deal as a game, because there aren't a lot of games like it. But there are a lot of movies that are like movies, so it's going to really be tougher for it to be impactful on the mainstream viewing audience. I mean, either they cut it short and it loses a lot of its effect, or they try to cram everything in there like they do with most novel to movie transitions. Or they just tell an entirely different story under the same name, which could be interesting.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Review
Greebonicky writes: I still find it strange that they'll happily pump out a bajillion remastered versions of the other Final Fantasy games but not FF7. The mind boggles.
Varzen Dralmort replies: Square sitting on FF7 is like Nintendo sitting on Majora's Mask. C'mon, Square; you released Chrono Trigger for smartphones. Give us some love, eh?
