The People Speak Deluxe - Never Racist, Always Racism

Every week I look at as many comments, forum threads, and social media posts I can and every week it seems more and more like a blur. Alienware Manager: Steam Machine Will Be the "Least Profitable System We Ever Sell"
Obviously. You can't overprice the fuck out of it like you do with everything else
I've always doubted that Steam boxes would be very profitable. There would probably be some gamers who would upgrade from an older, slower PC, and others who would buy one simply out of curiosity, but they're going to be a pretty small niche. Most gamers will probably stick with Windows, or with consoles.
My own plan (subject to change) is to load SteamOS onto an SSD and stick it into one of the open slots inside my gaming rig, rather than go with a premade Steam box. It would probably be cheaper, and anyway, that's pretty much the reason I have the damned gaming rig in the first place: to have more control over my gaming hardware. So yeah, I'm not one of Alienware's potential customers either.
Exactly who are the target customers again?
Microsoft Doing Something Unprecedented at E3
MS bought out Phantom and the Phantom game console will make an appearance?
They are going to announce a new head of Xbox. *Cue the smoke and lasers, suddenly, a ROARING grunt fills the arena and a BIG TRUCK slowly drives onto the stage, adorned with dancing asian women shooting cash out of a cannon* I called it, remember that.
Microsoft doing a bullshit free E3 would be completely unprecedented.
Far Cry 4 Dev Addresses Controversial Box Art
We've been through this already, internet.
Editor's Corner: I Hate You, Review Embargoes
I understand why we do game embargoes; after all, if we're not first, we're irrelevant in the search for hits. Advertising, relevance, yadda yadda...
... but I have to wonder if simply not adhering to the embargo is a good idea. I.E.: not accepting some of these draconian terms that publishers ask sometimes, especially the likes of Activision. I'm not saying *break* it, but I do wonder if, with the exception of sites like IGN and other massively corporate sites, we should all put our feet down and say no to this. We're critics, not extensions of some company's publishing arm.
From the forums: I had no idea girls played games...
... and here, you guys wanted to get rid of Booth Babes. I wonder who this magazine is catering to... You said it in your last podcast (where the fuck was this week's), us gamers vote with our dollars, and unfortunately I think these guys are going to make a killing.
I love pandering.
From the forums: What's your internet plan / data cap?
Right now I have unlimited DSL but I'm looking into cable. Was curious what some of your data usages are and if you have trouble staying under your cap?
