The only thing that stops the dust is the rain. It’s a sweet reprieve, but there is no middle ground. The land is either as dry as the Betty Ford clinic, or as wet as the ocean floor. Everything can be seen from the ridge overlooking Armadillo as John Marston gently bounces along atop...

The People Speak Deluxe - Sterling's Fired

Posted on Thursday, May 8 @ 18:30:00 PST by

While Donald Sterling and Josh Olin taught everyone a lesson about shoving foot in mouth, GameRevolution commenters replied to a variety of different topics this week with wisdom and we like to celebrate that! Here's our weekly community spotlight:

Turtle Rock Community Manager Understandably Fired for Donald Sterling Tweets

I completely agree with him. What a person says in their own home without the intention of it ever being heard publicly is their business, and the illegal wiretapping is the biggest issue here. I don't agree with racism, but is it really surprising an 80 year old white billionaire is a bigot?

Atlus' Big Persona Announcement Is Persona 4 the Golden Animation

Oh boy, it's just like the other anime except this time it has the best character ever, Mary Su-, I mean Marie! There is basically nothing in P4:tG that needs to be added to the anime, but there's still money to be made from P4 so dammit if they won't take all they can get! Don't forget that it's been two years since the fighting game came out, so they have to make a new version of that too! With so many changes, like...

Meanwhile, Raidou 3 is never going to happen, we haven't had anything new besides SMT 4 last year, and all that's upcoming for sure is a dance game and another P3/P4 crossover.

Sorry, Nintendo, I Just Can't Support Tomodachi Life

"But here's the problem, Nintendo: You may not have been “trying to provide social commentary,” but that's exactly what you did. And your commentary sucks."

You know you are turning something innocuous into a sociopolitical commentary, not Nintendo. It is people shouting from the rafters against a glitch in the game and the fact that Nintendo pointed that fact out, only to be demonized because you think they hate the gay community?

Like it or not, not every video game, life simulator or not, has to be a battleground for same sex marriage. And it certainly has nothing to do with homophobia, be it intentional or not. Frankly you should know better than that.

And that is what boggles my mind, the callous shrilling by a ton of video game "activists" who think they know better than everyone else on something they barely comprehend to begin with. Then again i'm used to seeing it, were in a post Jimquisition world after all, where the loudest voices get the highest views all the time. Where we follow the blind down a rabbit hole devoid of wonder or entertainment to prove a point through pointlessness and thinly veiled political-correctness. I guess everyone wants to be an esteemed social commentator, too bad we don't have the degrees or convictions to realize when were wrong, or should keep our mouths shut on such things, let alone understand when such vitriol is being spewed for the wrong reasons.

Then we might be real journalists, instead of yellowing it up.

Sorry, Nintendo, I Just Can't Support Tomodachi Life

Nintendo is trying really hard to commit suicide. It baffled us why anyone bothered to support their crappy console. Now this comes along as well.

Wolfenstein: The New Order Banned in Germany, Also Geo-Blocked

LOL hahahahahah
You should never try to ban the past. It's the worst form of denial there is.
Those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.

I call bullshit! Someone has hacked his account. There is no way he just said something agreeable. And the obvious change lately also points towards a hack.

I may be the most technologically and economically sophisticated troll on the entirety of the World Wide Web, but I'm not by any means dumb.

Xbox One: How to Save Microsoft's Console

point one hits the nail on the head. Everywhere I see that mentions a xbox1 price cut is basically "cut out the kinect and price it at 100 dollars less to equate it to ps4." I've commented on this site before about how last generation, the pricing was logical in a sense that xbox360 was cheaper because it was less powerful (regardless of the actual graphic's disparity) therefore it doesn't make sense for the xbox1 to be priced the same as ps4 even if it went kinectless. With that being said, if they did go with your one and two i would gladly purchase an xbox1. I hate paying more for things i don't want bundled in. e.g. Major pain in the butt trying to buy a new large, high end t.v. without having it being "smart".

Xbox One: How to Save Microsoft's Console

I'm so sick of the "unbundle Kinect and drop the price" debate. My xbox one is awesome, and part of the reason is the Kinect. It sets itself apart and the unit has done an awesome job and basically replacing everything else in my living room as the center piece. They've already proven they can sell the thing at a discount with the kinect still in it, for 50 bucks over the competition and a free game, I'd say that's win win. Also this whole PS4 is so much more powerful argument is retarded as well. Sure their dev kit may be better at the moment, but MS isn't stupid, and in the end they'll be right on par with everything Sony can put out, not to mention MS exclusives consistently score higher than Sony's anyway. I'd call this an over opinionated fluff piece with no substance at all.

From the forums: Kitchens For Sale Howdens

This Forum is probably the best forum that i have ever used and i would just like to say how proud i am to be a member of this forum

I dont needs any kitches now though thankyou. Anyone else want to say how great the forums are?

I just want to say if it wasn't for this forum I never would have bought my new kitchen. It has a ice despensing fridge, a self-cleaning oven and a talking toaster. Thank you GR for selling me all these products.

From the forums: Net Neutrality, what can we do?

Make Ugh a moderator. Once we upload Ugh to the cloud, ISPs everywhere will finally listen to our demands... or switch us back to dial up

Agreed, Ugh is the answer to everything, did you know, his urine actually whitens teeth, 4 out of 5 Dentists agree.

We can do nothing, because there is nothing we can do. Only hope is that the pro-NN crowd makes bigger campaign contributions than the cable companies. That's about it.

From Facebook: Link or Zelda: Whose Legend Is It Anyway?
Dan Lavely

Well, I think that playing as Zelda would definitely be a breath of fresh air into the Zelda series. However, with their recent success in "Zelda: A Link Between Worlds", how do we not know that they'll just do another reboot to another old Zelda universe? If the old SNES Zelda created a successful reboot with current gen graphics, why not the original? The beginning? The very first?

The more I think of it, the more I think Nintendo could definitely win people over with that type of hype. Some of the audience that is still playing their games could totally look forward to that type of nostalgia again, and maybe it could even be a prequel to the NES's "The Legend of Zelda" about Zelda and her side of the story. You don't even known how she was captured anyhow, and she doesn't even make an appearance until the very end.

Tell me you wouldn't play THAT shit, eh? ;)
