The Wii Was Redesigned in 5 Seconds

Posted on Thursday, August 18 @ 15:12:01 Eastern by

I don't think this even qualifies as a re-design. Without the Gamecube ports or even Gamecube backwards compatibility, it's just under-designed. No amount of copies of Wii Party is going to change my mind.

Because when I knock over my Wii right now, it can still play Gamecube games. If it doesn't break. Regardless of my alcohol level. And me putting the Wii vertically anyway because it doesn't fit in the TV stand. And it reads better that way. (It doesn't, really.)

Of course, you know what's going to happen in two years, right? A "Family Edition" Wii U. That stands up...

    I redesigned you car.
No you didnt it looks exactly the same.
No its redesigned, now there are no airbags and the radio only plays AM stations.
Why on earth would you do that?
    For families!

I thought you would go a different route with this.

    OdiousLupous: I redesigned you car.
    Me: What?
OdiousLupous: I barrowed it without asking, and wrapped it around a tree.
Me: What? How is that a redesign? That’s not a redesign, you wrecked my car!
OdiousLupous: No its redesigned, now there are no airbags and the radio only plays AM stations.

Btw I nominate OdiousLupous’ original to The People Speak.

This is more of a cutting cost thing. Honestly most people wont miss ore care of the lack of game cube support or the controllers these days. Also I think by the looks of it maybe there just switching the Wii case to the Wii U case. It looks a lot like the system they had sitting at the E3 booths from the images I saw. So maybe there just saving time and money by using the next gen plastic case for this system right now on top of the money saved by not including other components.

typical Nintendo lameness, like the thing wasn't already overpriced for the hardware.

    Reminds me of gamesworkshop.

That thumbnail is by far the best. Better than George Constantza.
