DAILY MANIFESTOThis Just In: Fox News Is DumbPosted on Monday, June 27 @ 17:09:11 Eastern by Josh_Laddin
Ok, I think we can all agree that regardless of your politics, Fox News is full of retarded retards. If not, then I hereby revoke your GR privileges for all eternity (or at least until you learn how to breathe through your nose). Expect your account deleted within 24 business hours. Here's an interview of a doomsaying Fox News Editor conducted by an utterly vapid token ethnic anchorwoman about the... End of Console Gaming!!! [emphasis added] Man. Where to begin? With the interviewee starting his idiotic piece before being properly introduced? Maybe with the geniuses in the studio who give him the vaunted title of "Scienct and Technology Editor"? Or the anchorwoman, who is so clearly behind the technology curve that the best she can do is be like "oh yeah, the Atari! Remember that?" But then of course, there's the guy's whole argument: "Recent changes indicate that console gaming may be going away, and I think it's a lot because of the iPhone and Android." Really? Man, you're fucking brilliant. I mean, you must be the first person on the planet to have made the connection between smartphones and casual gaming. Someone get this guy on the phone with NASA, quick! The whole smartphone angle may have made this interview relevant, oh, I dunno, maybe 3 or 4 years ago when the rest of the world had already started to figure it out. He goes on to mention the Wii U controller, which "basically looks like a smartphone—it's got a built-in screen there." Holy shit, Mr. Scienct and Technology Editor! You mean I've been playing a smartphone ever since I had a fucking Game Boy? Wow, I've been clueless this whole time. And then there's the claim that console gaming is going to disappear, because "who really wants that extra thing cluttering up their home entertainment system?" I can answer that: gamers do. Just because casual gaming is growing doesn't mean there won't always be a demographic who's looking for a huge, surround sound, big screen, HD extravaganza to play in their living room. We may not always be the majority, but we'll always be there.
When will mainstream "news" networks learn to just stay out of the tech world? They only embarrass themselves each and every time. Comments

I commute on public transport daily, so a total removal of exposure isn't exactly possible.

"You may be able to bring fair and balanced news to the masses, but if you dont have a grasp on at least a High school English understanding, then your just a bunch of retards discovering their private parts for the first time."
Needless to say this went in the "cool **** my uncle said" book.

Huxley feared that "Truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance" and this fear becomes more pertinent everyday.
