Wayward Manor Review
Not even the power of Neil Gaiman and The Odd Gentlemen could save this game from a fate worse than death: a terrible score.

For Obsidian's crowdfunded love letter to Infinity Engine games like Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate, I was impressed by its willingness to pull back the curtain and let me see the machinery behind it.

Yesterday, while cleaning up my media center, I found my copy of Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus, which I bought sometime before Christmas last year. I had been pretty excited about this game pre-release, what with it being the first "traditional", albeit shorter than usual,...

DAILY MANIFESTO

To All The Santa Monica High School Students

Microsoft turned your school amphitheater into a rock stadium, and I wish you could have been there instead of me.

 - There's supposed to be a picture here, but the hotel internet connection seems to be unprepared for the nexus of geekery that is E3 -

Don’t get me wrong. Microsoft showed a lot of solid stuff, but seeing what they did with a thousand neon lights, weird glowy spheres, futuristic hallways, smoke machines, and new gratuitous swimming pool in the center of the stage… I think you would have appreciated it more. Also my hotel connection sucks, so I cant upload pics. I’m sure there are others.

It’s well past my bedtime, and the influx of nerds seems to have crippled my hotel, so I’ll be brief - Peter Moore sucks at Rock Band. Not only did he get kicked out of the band and had to be brought back, he managed to accidentally hit pause twice during the performance. Peter, don’t quit your day job.

No real surprises. Call of Duty 4 was the show stealer. People were also excited by Mass Effect and BioShock. Assassin's Creed looked good, but didn't look like it would be ready for their proposed November launch.

That mysterious fourth Xbox, by the way, was merely painted green as a Halo 3 promotion. You can buy it if you really like green.
