Update Brings Official Live-Like Features To iPhone
Posted on Wednesday, September 1 @ 19:27:01 Eastern by danielrbischoff
Developers have integrated plus+ and OpenFeint software in their apps, but Apple undoes all that hard work with Game Center.
What does that mean though? With Apple's backing, I'm sure nearly every game will now come with achievements. Multiplayer will be seen a lot more frequently too.
Obviously, Game Center is Apple's move to keep their "gaming" user base, not that Xbox Live on Windows Phone 7 was really a threat to the millions that already own iPhones, iPod, and iPads. But wait, there's more!
Jobs even introduced devs from Epic Games who showed off a build of the Unreal Engine for the iPhone with a game titled "Project Sword." Here's a clip from the presser.
With all that said, I never play games on my iPhone. Why do I think there's nothing of any real value in the app store?

Not a Microsoft fanboy, just hate overpriced, overhyped crap like Apple.
I'm actually impressed with the overall quality of Apple products. MacBooks are pretty decent, being filled with quality hardware and boasting good performance, not to mention the high quality built-in camera. A lot of friends and relatives have recommended I get one. The iPod Touch is actually pretty fun to use, especially when you're on the go. And you can jailbreak them, getting access to all sorts of free stuff.
Why? Why isn't anything good from Apple? Why is Xbox LIVE better, especially when the PS3's wired connection is up to 1Gbps when the 360's wired connection is only 100Mbps? And for a better wireless connection on the 360, you either have to pay $150 for the adapter AND pay for Xbox LIVE, or buy a Slim 360...AND Xbox LIVE. What the hell are you giving me?
Before you decide to post anything else that falls our of your ass, at least have the decency to wipe.
