Yesterday morning at about 5:00 AM the vast Game Revolution compound was robbed. Two master criminals ripped a non-opening window out of the wall, climbed over the broken glass, tripped the alarm, stole two Xbox 360's (minus cords), and ran.
I know it was two of them, because amazingly, they came back. After the cops were done swarming the area, they went off about other business. I, however, did not. I caught one of them trying to sneak in the front door (which was unlocked because I was there).
He stammered, "Um, do you know when they open upstairs?"
"Which business?" I asked.
"Um, the man said they were open upstairs. Sorry." He closed the door and ran. I turned and saw the other one running from the broken window.
I called 911, gave them a description and then ran outside myself to see if I could find them. Amazingly, the cops failed to capture these master criminals again, although several other witnesses saw them up close and personal and gave statements to the police.
Anyway, be on the lookout for Xbox Live user Zombiebot, I'm going to leave the account active and not reclaim it. It should automatically log-in if they connect to the internet. I've got a $100 GameStop card for anyone who can figure out who they are.

| Wait, I'm pretty sure the PS3s are zip-tied down, correct? It was in a picture showcasing Dr. PS3, buried somewhere in the manifesto. The 360s seemed like a more obvious choice: There are two of them, only one Wii. They weern't secured, either. |

| my apt got robbed a couple weeks ago while my roomate and i were NEXT DOOR. we came back and the door was locked and i was like wtf? walked in and the back door is wide open and they took my roomies laptop and like 300 out of a girls purse. unfortunantly for them my roomate is 6'5 and about 250 and some people saw them coming in...so whether or not the guys my roomate beat the **** out of stole it or not...it made us feel better |

| DBucks: It's not shooting someone for stealing your 360, it's shooting someone for invading the sanctity of your property with malicious intent and without your permission. If you found someone breaking into your house in the middle of the night, you wouldn't use a firearm if you had it (registered and all)? I would. I've had nightmares about people breaking into my apartment and bringing harm to my wife, or my parents house and harming my family. Does it matter that they may only have intended to steal something? No, because stealing isn't kosher either, especially when it's from people in my financial situation. That ties in quite nicely with the fact that while I'm sure GR can replace the lost systems, it's money that could be better spent elsewhere - like paying their writers. Or did you forget there's no paid membership to GR? |

| This is the problem with people: no one has any respect for life. No, i would not shoot someone who broke into my house. It would piss me off, make me feel extremely uncomfortable, and extremely cautious. But no, I would not take their life because of it. That is just a messed up mentality: breaking & entering deserves death? Are people that freaking paranoid? My father has been a fireman for the past 20 years and he has never been on or heard of a breaking and entering run where someone defended themselves with a gun. |

| Do you know what the majority of these B&E-related runs happen to be? A paranoid resident with a hand gun shoots and kills his dog, or worse, his teenager coming home late. Shooting someone isn't going to get them out of your house or prevent future B&Es, its only going to mortally wound them. I know what your saying Daemon, the mere idea of someone intruding in on my property makes me sick to my stomach, i just think guns are ****ed up. |

| robbery sucks mates. altho, wtf were they doing coming back without a damn fine excuse with the cops all over the place...****ing amateurs. as for shooting a burglar, meh. this isnt the wild west where we ****ing shoot anything that moves, more than likely the burglar will **** himself, drop it and run if he even hears a gun. ive known of people who had unloaded guns and done as much effect. and if the burglar doesnt run but instead pulls a gun, well you best be prepared or its gonna be more than a b&e. good luck GR crew, you are some damn fine reviewers. |

| oh and as for what sells, wii and ps3 sell much faster but they are more high profile than ANOTHER 360 for sale at 100-250$. so its a mixed bag why the took those, could be that there were 2 so they were drawn to quick with the alarms going, i woulda taken the custom rock band **** and/or the tv but thats just me mates. |

| SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. Fortunatly the cops found my 360 at a Pawn Shop and got the guy. Unfortunatly they're keeping it for evidence till the trial (been 2 months now) And the Son of a B^tch sold off my Hard drive controlers and games before pawning it. Also I have left my account active GRIM MrFreeze, and occasionally someone logs onto it. Cops can't do squat about it. Anyone have any ideas? |

| Oh and for all you 360 haters. The reason for the crooks taking the 360s and not the PS3 is the same reason their were 2 360s and only one lonely little PS3s. The 360 has more and usually better games...end of story. |

| The same thing happened to these guys I know. Two years ago, their PS2 was stolen out of their living room. But they never got the guy.
So they got another one, and they came back and stole this one too. But one of the guys in the shower saw him and bolted after him NAKED. Chased him down 2 flights of stairs to a parking lot where he lost him. |

| Tyrranis, they have 2 PS3s. One of them is running Folding@Home 24/7. Also, they're secured to the cabinet with zip-ties, or something. I already mentioned this.

| DBucks, it's not that you'd shoot them for breaking and entering, but for threatening your family. Obviously you'd give them some kind of option (to GTFO, or stick around while you call the police, or something) before firing, but if everyone were armed perhaps people wouldn't be so quick to do each other wrong. Maybe I'm wrong. I sincerely wish that people wouldn't hurt each other and that we wouldn't even have to have this debate. Unfortunately, people as a whole suck. |
